About Me

Baltimore, Maryland, United States
I have loved photography for as long as I can remember, but I really became serious about my work in high school and then college. After graduating with my BA from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, I decided to follow my dreams and started my own photography business. Other than photographing beautiful people I also enjoy photographing animals and nature. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy my work.

Couples Portraits

I recently had two couples portrait sessions on the same day with people that I hold very dear to my heart, my parents and god parents, neither of which have ever had professional portraits taken. These photos were taken at my in-home studio and ended up being a session full of fun and laughs.

These photos were a gift that I gave to my loved ones for Christmas. Portraits make for a creative gift whether it is for the winter holiday season, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, etc. If you would like to schedule a photo session as a gift for someone special feel free to contact me at tiffany.phillips.photography@gmail.com.

Maternity Session

My first photo shoot this past weekend started Saturday evening with a very pregnant women. Diana is pregnant with her third child and is due at the end of February. She was a very patient and open-minded individual and together we were able to produce some very beautiful images. With this being my first maternity photo session I learned a couple of things.... 1) lots of bathroom breaks are needed, 2) make sure you have snacks/food on hand, and 3) pregnancy is a very beautiful phenomenon.

Here are a couple of images, and the rest can be viewed on my flickr page. So check it out!

I never really liked decorating....

... that was until I got my own place and then I kind of went on a Christmas decoration shopping binge. I've been feeling under the weather ever since Thanksgiving with a really nagging migraine so my plans to decorate my house on Friday didn't happen until today. But I'm happy with the results and decided to try my hand at taking some photographs of my decorations. This one is my favorite!

I had three photo shoots over this weekend as well, not quite finished editing them but I will post a few photos on here once I am done with editing and the rest will be available on my flickr page.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Studio Furniture

So I have been working on getting some children's furniture together for my photo studio. I am planning on having all of the pieces by the end of this week thanks to Craigslist and Target. I wanted to share some photos of the the furniture because I'm really excited to take photos with them. So without further ado...

Let me know what you think! Also, don't forget to check out the rest of my photos on my flickr page.

Greenmount Cemetery

My landscape photography professor gave our class a great assignment where she assigned us GPS coordinates and had us go to these spots and then take photos. The locations are either at a park, a parking lot , or a cemetery in Baltimore. So with that being said, here are my shots so far from my specific location. I've always thought that cemeteries were kind of creepy but I have been dying to take photos of one (no pun intended). My location was Greenmount Cemetery in Baltimore City.

I used my Nikon D50 with a 50mm-80mm lens with a polarizing filter.

Let me know what you think.

Catia's Photo Shoot

So I had the honor of doing a photo shoot for a client last weekend which I think turned out pretty well. I choose a location that I had previously shot at two other times in the past, but I must say this photo shoot definitely turned out the best so far. Here are four photos from the shoot and the rest can be found on my flickr page at:

New Independent Study

So I'm planning on taking another Independent Study class this semester. Only 6 more credits after this semester until I graduate, which means by next Spring I will have my BA from UMBC! I'm in the works of planning for the topic of my Independent Study and I really want it to be Pet Photography. That way next semester for my Senior Project I can combine my portrait photography with humans and animals and have it be something like "People with Their Pets". I have been thinking about this idea since I took my studio photography class a year ago. Here is a photo of my Yorkie, Button. He normally doesn't stay still long enough for me to take a good photo of him but I think this one turned out pretty well.

**Edit**

I decided to include a before photo so you can see what it looked like before I edited it.
